Project Overview
A Northampton-based logistics company expanded its IT infrastructure and required a permanent, monitored cooling solution for a new server room. Portable air-conditioning units had proven unreliable, with uneven temperatures and frequent alarms. The client wanted a professional system that guaranteed uptime and provided remote fault notifications.
Our Approach
We installed a twin inverter-driven close-control system configured for automatic duty/standby rotation. This setup ensures that one unit always remains on standby, automatically taking over if the other detects a fault or requires servicing. Additional features included high-temperature alarms, SMS notifications to the maintenance team, and improved cable management for easier access. Airflow testing confirmed consistent temperature and humidity control across all server racks.
Results
Since installation, the server room has maintained a stable 21 °C with less than 0.5 °C fluctuation, significantly improving reliability and hardware longevity. The client now benefits from real-time monitoring and reduced risk of system failure, backed by a 24/7 maintenance response plan.
